Many Laws lay within this legend. They are needed for a decent and enjoyable experience on any roleplaying site, so don't be hatin', yo.
Law 1) If you use an already made character, make sure you roleplay that character's actual personality to the best of your abilities. We don't want to see a Kadaj or an Auron walk up to a group of people fighting frantically and waving nicely saying "Hi guys, what are you guys up to?" That would be a waste of a character. Stay in character as much as possible in the RPG boards. If you're speaking OOC in an IC board, please somehow indicate that it is OOC.
Law 2) A popular one, don't godplay. Let your character get hit once in a while, show that your character has weaknesses, learn to let your character lose once in a while. If you happen to be one of the godly types of characters, even gods have weaknesses. Learn from characters like Sin, Sephiroth, Exdeath, Kefka, etc..
Law 3) Don't Godmod. Any RPing veteran will know that that means you don't control others' characters.
EXAMPLE:
No: Tragedy spedily ran behind Zidane, bodychecking him, sending Zidane flying into a wall.
Yes: Tragegy spedily ran behind Zidane, about to bodycheck him with enough force to send Zidane flying into the wall.
A shitty example, but we think it's enough to get our point across.
Law 4) Try and be an active member. We don't want to see you join and use up a perfectly usuable charcter and end up never using him. We want to see that you are using it at least once every two months, more would be prefered. There will be exceptions if the whole site happens to be going slow, but that will all depend on the admins, and we all have our different views and any one of us may delete ifwe feel the need.
Law 5) We’ve always been pretty liberal towards violence, swearing, sex, etc. The only thing we have a problem with is the harassment of other members OOC [Out of character]. If your character is an ass, that's great. But if you're just an ass to people OOC, we won't hesitate in banning you. There will be one asshole board where you can be as much of a dick as you want..
Law 6) Don’t piss off the admins. We don't know why, We've just always loved this rule. Trust us, pissing off admins isn't smart, seeing as how we can kick you out of here anytime we want.
Law 7) Respect the other members, including the mods and admins. If you have a problem, solve it intelligently please. If you must argue, take it to the Save Point board. We don't need you spamming up the boards with your pointless arguements. If you strongly feel you're being harassed, please report this to any of the mods.
Law 8) This goes without saying, but obey the rules or we, once again, will be forced to delete your membership. There will only be two chances before you are Banned for a month, and another two before you are deleted.
Law 9) Keep the spamming in the spamming topics.
Law 10) When RPing on the Final Fantasy X/X-2 and the Final Fantasy 7/Dirge of Cerberus/Crisis Core/Before Crisis/Advent Children board, please specify which sequil or prequil you are playing on so there are no misundertandings.
